No worries ! The patient wouldn't actually feel pain at all !

It's actually good news.

It's a lot better waking up in the middle because a few people do not wake up after being given anesthesia, even if the operation is successful.

Usually, before surgery, all patients are given general anesthesia.

  • This is usually given so that the patients are able to go in a coma stage, and their ability to experience pain is numbed for a few minutes or hours.

A condition called anesthesia awareness occurs in a few patients,

  • They suddenly realize what their surroundings are and can visualize their own body being operated!

Now that could be quite scary, to see a lot of tools, and deep cuts and blood in your own body but the good news is that they wouldn't be able to feel the pain.

Normally, anesthesia can veil consciousness.

But cases, where patients can be conscious, are extremely rare !

that would be a very typical and rare condition.

it is very rare that patient wakes up during surgery because before operation they are given dose of anesthesia which makes them unconscious and even after surgery they are not able to wake up.

but if patient who was not much affected from anesthesia dose wakes up I would suggest to give him once again the dose so that he can't wake up again and can't feel the pain.

I think you would be knowing more about this as compared to me because I never thought of such a way :-)

nor I am NEET aspirant like you Sir :-)

best of luck for exams
