Using of penicillin in case of jaundice is worthless as it has no effect on the virus of jaundice, Hepatitis A.

Explanation:

Not only on Hepatitis A  but, penicillin has no effect on any kind of virus. It is used to destroy bacteria or the pathogens related to bacteria not viral.

Penicillin is generally used to destroy the pathogens of malaria and small pox and to treat other viral infections. Penicillin has also an effective result in the treatment of bacterial endocarditis(bacterial infection on heart). Even it is used for the patients who have recently done a heart surgery.
