Answer:

The change in rotation also reversed global wind patterns, bringing temperature changes to the subtropics and midlatitudes; continents' western zones cooled as eastern boundaries warmed, and winters became significantly colder in northwestern Europe.

ANSWER:-

Ohk, so if earth starts rotating backwards, it might not be as catastrophic as it sounds. Well, as we know, Earth's rotation is largely responsible in the distribution of deserts, forests, tropical lands, and all such nature forms...so when it starts rotating backwards, it would bring a change in a reverse manner and what if sun starts to rise in the west and set in the east.. It's unpredictable!... Well, if Earth stops rotating it might be disastrous but if it starts to rotate backwards, it won't be much catastrophic.
