Before exiting the building, pull the nearest fire alarm. Don't open doors before you are sure that there is no fire danger beyond it.

Keep your head low if there is a lot of smoke in the air to prevent inhaling it too much.

Take support from the wall and move towards the exit. Once you are out of danger, contact others to inform about the fire.
