After reading the chapter "The Enemy" it can be concluded that Dr. Sadao was a great human being as well as an efficient surgeon. Even after having a very bitter experience of facing prejudice in America he helped the 'enemy' with full compassion. He helped the wounded person as a human being without any prejudice for his country. His conscience did not allow him to leave the man to die before him. At the same time, he also informed the General about the whole incident which shows that he was not a traitor.
