Explanation:  A gorilla in the guest room written by Gerald Durrell  in 1962 is a story about the relationship between a gorilla named N'pongo and his care taker Mr.Durrell .The best part of the whole story is the depiction of the relationship between N'pongo and Gerald .They aren't portrayed as pet and a master or instructor .They know and understand each others as friends and brother.

The narrator who was a great admirer of animals and a person who loves animals he was very happy to receive N'pongo though he didn't knew whether the baby animal was a chimpanzee or a gorilla ,this shows his animal loving attitude and how much he gave importance for the nature and its children .Though most of the people suggested him not to have a gorilla even after his wife's word because of his kind and animal loving heart he was happy to receive the baby gorilla even at the time where he was having a great difficulty over the money matters .

This all shows the the narrator as a kindhearted and a welcoming personality in the mind of readers.
