Answer:

1)The impression that the writer has given us that Mrs Pearson is a very loving wife and mother who only wants to make her family happy. She is meek and subdued and does everything that her family wants her to do. On the other hand, her family does not care for her and takes her for granted.

Answer:

Mrs Pearson appears to be a timid and confused lady. She is in her forties . She is a devoted housewife. She enjoys serving her husband and children. She is ignored and made to work throughtout the day. In spite of their ill treatment , neglect and exploitation , she loves them all.

In fact for that she suffer everything without any murmur or protest. We feel sympathy for her. We wish her to be a little more confident. However Mrs Fitzgerald brings about a change in her personality. She helps her to become more confident and dominating in the end of the play.
