★ Miss Sullivan was very caring and sensitive person. She was quite extraordinary and perfect as a teacher.She Understand the needs of his or her students. She understood Helen well and taught her according to her abilities and needs. She was very sophisticated and very well mannered. She was epitome of patience. He never miss behave with Helen even though Helen use to throw a tantrums every now and then. She came to teach her and show her the world. She was very kind and sympathetic also. The moment she handed Helen a doll sent by the children at Perkins Institution,she spelt into her hand the word 'd-o-l-l’. This was quite a new and the unique way of teaching Helen who could neither see nor hear. Helen became immediately interested in the finger play. Miss Sullivan’s play way method made Helen's learning experience quite pleasant. Miss Sullivan made Helen confident by making her self dependent. She taught her in natural surroundings encouraging Helen to touch feel and explore things. She motivated Helen to read, write and also speak like others. She was a true friend, companion and the mother like figure of Helen. When Helen was accused of Plagiarism her constant motivation and spirited nature helped Helen come out of fear of writing.
