This story is perhaps set in a time when people still had love and affection for each other. The man unlike the other visitors at the fair, notices the little boy crying and goes out of the crowd to pacify him. He is a kind of person whose intentions are very clean. He does everything possible to calm down the wailing child and did not lose his patience even once upon the child who was acting very stubborn crying out for his parents.  Hope this helps you. :D
