The excerpt has been taken from the story 'Gulliver's Travels' written by Jonathan Swift.
In one of the voyages, Gulliver lands on the island of Brobdingnag, where the people are all giants and Gulliver is small as the Lilliputians. The native, a farmer takes Gulliver to his house.
At his home, Gulliver trips over a crust of bread. He is then offered a small piece of bread and meat which Gulliver relishes and eats well. The farmer's son holds Gulliver by one leg and dangles him upside down until the farmer saves Gulliver. Then an infant mistakes Gulliver for a toy and squeezes him and puts him in his mouth. He is then dropped in the mother's apron.
Gulliver then faces 2 rats which are the size of large dogs. Gulliver fights them with a hanger and kills one of them. He then gets stared by the family cat.
