Answer:

Gibberellins are produced in greater mass when the plant is exposed to cold temperatures. They stimulate cell elongation, breaking and budding, seedless fruits, and seed germination.

Required Answer:-

Gibberelinns are special type of plant hormones which are responsible for:

  • Stem elongation (Internodal)
  • Germination of seed
  • Breaking the dormancy.
  • Development of flower & fruits etc.

Gibberellin is chemically an acidic substance which is responsible for the overall growth and elongation of the plant as a whole. The mutants with less gibberellin secretion, leads to dwarfism.

The Gibberellins helps in rapid cell division by changing some rheological properties of the plant cell in the internodal areas. As a result, some osmotic changes are made and cell starts dividing. Also it changes the diameter of the Internodal in some other specific ways.
