Hi user

Here's the answer
____________________________________________________________

First let us write the two equations.

1. Zn + H₂SO₄   =>  ZnSO₄ + H₂

2. Mg + 2HCl  =>  MgCl₂ + H₂

From the above equations we can get two set of conclusions.

Conclusions:

1. Acid + Metal  => Salt + Water

2. When a higher metal is placed in a lower metal's salt solution, the higher metal displaces the lower metal from its salt solution. This is called Displacement Reaction.

Hope my answer helped you

Have a good day :-)

Destroyer22: The two set of conclusions is applicable for both (a) and (b)
YaraSam2003: And so thst is Displacement Reaction.....?
Destroyer22: yes it is a displacement reaction
YaraSam2003: oh thanks sir
Destroyer22: welcome
