There are many initiatives taken by the govt. of India.
Mission Indradhanush - The govt. aims to vaccinate all unvaccinated children by 2020. There are seven vaccines available under the scheme. Like vaccines agianst TB, tetanus, polio, hepatitis B. to name a few.
Universal Immunisation programme(UIP)- Government is providing vaccination free of cost against ten vaccine preventable diseases.
HIV And AIDS Prevention Bill, 2017- Recently, the Parliament passed (HIV) and (AIDS) (Prevention and Control) Bill. It seeks to prevent and control the spread of HIV and AIDS.
Nationally rural & urban health mission- to improve health care services and facilities.
IT related initiatives like raktkosh (blood bank), e-Health mission, free health related tips etc
Schemes like Rashtriyaa Bal Swasthya Karyakaram(RBSK) and various health insurances schemes have also been introduced.
