Douglas had a horrifying experience at the YMCA pool. One day when he was all alone in the pool when a boy tossed him up deep into the end of the water. He was scared but kept his cool and came up to the surface of the water from the bottom of the pool through a big jump and paddled to safety.
The incident kept on playing in his mind and a fear of getting drowned in water soon kept him away from water sport activities like boating,fishing etc
