In this poem, the poet describes the action of the wind It breaks the shutters of the windows, throws down the books on the shelf and demolishes frail houses. But it has no effect on strong houses. It blows out weak fires. But it makes strong fires roar. The poet conveys the idea that nobody cares for the weak. The poet advises the weak ones to make themselves strong.

The inspiration or lesson we have gained from this poem is that, we must be strong and befriend our enemies. We must make our hearts steadfast and practise to firm our bodies. We must learn to face all the obstacles in life and go ahead of them with complete ease. The wind has both its good and bad effects, the good effect is that it can set off small fires with its wind power. Its bad effect is that it can set huge fires from a small fire. Therefore we must not disrespect wind and befriend it.
