After losing all his family members (wife and all children) Martin became bitter towards God but then one day a missionary told him that he should live his life for God and not deny Him and question His will, these words sank  deep in Martin's heart and he started reading the New Testament, at first on holidays then everyday.

Explanation:

"Where Love is, God is" is a short story written by Leo Tolstoy. The story is about the life of Martin Avdeitch who was a shoemaker. He lost his wife and their children to sickness; this grieved Martin and made him bitter towards God that he took away his family.

But one day  when a missionary came in the town, he shared his hardships with him and the missionary said one thing that changed Martin and urged him to read the Bible.

The missionary told Martin that he should start living his life for God and that he should not deny His will. These words sank deep in Martin's heart and he bought a New Testament.

At first, he read the Testament on holidays only then everyday. As a result, his life was filled with peace and joy from God.
