Power of lens P = 1 / f ( in m ) or

P = 100 / f ( in cm ) .

♥ Dioptre is usually reffered to as lens power. A dioptre is the measurement of power of lens or a curved mirror which is equal to the reciprocal of focal length in metres. 1 Dioptre is the SI unit of power of lens whose focal length is 1 metre. It is denoted by 'D'. OR When the focal length of the lens is 1 metre the power of lens is 1 Dioptre.♥
