It means that 2x - 1 in whole square or 2x - 1 is multiplied by itself i.e.

(2x - 1) × (2x - 1)

Answer:

x=1

Step-by-step explanation:

(2x-1)^2

=4x^2+1-4x...

4x^2-4x+1

4x^2-2x-2x+1

2x(2x-1)-1(2x-1)

(2x-1)(2x-1)

Hence, x=1,1
