In this series it is given that -

1st term-6 , 2nd term -14 , 3rd term-30 ,

4th term-54 , 5th term-86

Now the difference between all numbels is a multiple of 8.

let's check it out—

2nd term-1st term =14-6=8

3rd term -2nd term=30-14=16

4th term-3rd term=54-30=24

and 5th term -4th term=86-54=32

(you can also calculate it)

now numbers we got are -8 ,16,24,32.

These are the multiples of 8 in increasing order.

From here it is clear that we will get the next number in the series by adding the next multiple of 8 after 32 which is 40.

HENCE WE GET THAT NEXT NUMBER IN SERIES WILL BE =86+40=126

hence the answer is 126…
