In nylon -6,6

6,6 indicates that 6carbons of one compound(adipic acid) and six carbons of other compound (Hexa methyl diamine).

There are two monomers of nylon-6,6 .

They are

1.) Adipic acid

HOOC_(CH2)4_COOH .

2.) Hexa methyl diamine

H2N_(CH2)6_NH2.
