Given :-

  • 6x² - 12x + 6 = 0 , Find x ?

Solution :-

6x² - 12x + 6 = 0

Splitting The Middle Term we get,

6x² - 6x - 6x + 6 = 0

→ 6x(x - 1) - 6(x - 1) = 0

→ (x - 1)(6x - 6) = 0

Putting both Equals to zero now,

x - 1 = 0

→ x = 1

or,

→ 6x - 6 = 0

→ 6x = 6

→ x = 1.

Hence, Value of X will be 1.

Extra knowledge :-

→ Sridharacharya formula for Solving Quadratic Equation ax² +bx + c = 0 says that,

→ x = [ -b±√(b²-4ac) / 2a ]

or,

→ x = [ - b± √D /2a ] where D(Discriminant)= b²-4ac

we can solve it by This formula Also.

Solution :-

=> 6x² - 12x + 6 = 0

=> 6x² - 6x - 6x + 6 = 0

=> 6x(x - 1) - 6(x - 1) = 0

Taking common

=> (x - 1)(6x - 6) = 0

if

=> x - 1 = 0

=> x = 1

or,

=> 6x - 6 = 0

=> 6x = 6

=> x = 1

So, Value of X will be 1.
