what is a acceleration?

Riya598322: The rate of change of velocity is called acceleration.( OR) The change of velocity per unit time is called acceleration.
Riya598322: acceleration = change in velocity ÷ time
Riya598322: Negative acceleration is called retardation
taniya55555: exactly
Riya598322: acceleration is a vector quantity and it SI unit is m/s
Anonymous: no si unit is m/s^2
taniya55555: yeah it's m/s^2

acceleration is the rate of change of velocity wit time.
it's a vector quantity which has both magnitude and direction.

hope it helps !! ✌️❤️

Hey Buddy here is your answer,

ACCELERATION
“The rate of change of velocity is called acceleration.”
OR
“Acceleration depends upon the velocity if the velocity continously increases or decreases the accelerattion will be produced.”Positive Acceleration
If the velocity continously increases then the acceleration will be positive.
2. Negative acceleration
If the velocity continously decreases then the acceleration will be negative.
FORMULA
Acceleration = change of velocity/Time
or a = (Vf-Vi)/t
UNIT
The S.I unit of Velocity in M.K.S system is Meter/second+square
or m/S2

HOPE IT HELPS YOU. HAVE A NICE DAY!!!
