Acceleration due to gravity (g), is the change in the velocity of any falling or rising object for every second.

g = 9.8 m/sec² at sea level.

g = 0 at the centre of Earth, because weight is equally distributed in all directions.

g decreases with increase in depth because as depth increases the weight of the Earth decreases.
