The oxides of sulphur, carbon and nitrogen realeased by the industries gets mixed up with the watervapour and falls down in the form of acid rain.

Acid rain causes the following majour problems:

• It damages the buildings and monuments made up of stones and metals.

• Acid rain when Falls into the rivers affect the aquatic ecosystem.

• It causes air pollution and leads to respiratory diseases like asthma.
