Alimentary canal is the passage along which food passes for digestion. It is also known as the gastrointestinal tract and extends from mouth to anus.
FUNCTION ::-
Alemantry canal encludes mouth, oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine and anus and each of there own work and function
mouth helps in chewing and lubricating of food
oesophagus has a cartilaginous flap called epiglottis prevent to enter of food into the glottis during swallowing food
stomach is located in the upper left of abdominal cavity stomach helps in storing of food
large intestine helps in digestion of water
Small intestine produces intestinal juice from the glands present in the wall, which helps in further digestion of food.
these are the the main organ and its mai function
