Balanced chemical equation

A chemical equation in which number of atoms of different elements on the reactant side or same as those on product side is called a balanced chemical .

More information

All the chemical equations must balance because atoms are neither created nor destroyed in chemical reaction the number of atoms of each element before and after reaction must be the same according to the law of conservation of mass the total mass of the substance after taking part in chemical reaction must be the same before and after the reaction .

Chemical equation:-

⚫ The short hand method of presenting a chemical reaction in terms of symbols and products is called Chemical equation.

Balance chemical equation :-

Such an equation in which the number of atoms of element on both side of equation are equal is called Balance chemical equation.

example:- 2H2+O2 ------->2H2O

Balancing of chemical equation

It is the means by which number of atoms of each element are made equal on both sides of equation.

Why we balance chemical equation ?

We Balance chemical equation to satisfy law of conservation of mass I.e In a chemical equation the total mass of reactant is equal to total mass of product.
