balanced chemical equation is the equation which have equal numbers of atoms of reactant and product...it is important to chemical equation to be balanced because according to the law of conservation of mass and by the property of atom that atom cannot be destroyed, it is essential for a chemical equation to be balanced...HOPE THIS HELPS YOU...plz mark it as brainliest..

\mathcal\purple{What \:is\: a \:balanced \:chemical\: equation\: ?}

=> The chemical equation in which the number of atoms of each element on the reactant and product side is equal is called balanced chemical equation.

\mathcal\purple{Why \:do \:we\: need\: to \:balance \:the \:chemical\:equation\: ?}

=> Balancing of chemical equation is necessary because atoms are neither created nor destroyed in a chemical reaction. Thus, the chemical equation is based on the law of conservation of mass.

Illustrating the concept :

\implies Hydrogen + oxygen \longrightarrow water

\implies H_2 + O_2 \longrightarrow H_{2}O

\begin{tabular}{|c|c|c|}\cline{1-3} Elements & Reactants & Product \\ \cline{1-3} H & 2 & 2  \\ 0 & 2 & 1 \cline{1-3}\end{tabular}

In this equation, the number of atoms of hydrogen and oxygen on reactant side is not equal to the number of atoms on the product side.

Balanced equation :

\implies 2H_2 + O_2 \longrightarrow 2H_{2}O

\begin{tabular}{|c|c|c|}\cline{1-3} Elements & Reactants & Product \\ \cline{1-3} H & 4 & 4  \\ 0 & 2 & 2 \cline{1-3}\end{tabular}

In this equation, the number of atoms of hydrogen and oxygen on reactant side is equal to the number of atoms on the product side.

Important to note :

Hydrogen and Oxygen are written as H_2 and O_2 respectively because they occur as diatomic in nature.
