Solution:

The eqation for a chemical reaction in which the number of atoms of each element is same in reactants and products is called a Balanced Chemical Equation.

Example of a balanced chemical equation:

2H_2 + O_2 \rightarrow 2H_2O

Chemical equations should be balanced to obey the Law of Conservation of Mass.

According to Law of Conservation of Mass,

"Mass can neither be created nor be destroyed"

In simple words, the total mass of the substances before the chemical reaction should be equal to the total mass of the substance after the chemical reaction.
