The Use Of Battery In A Computer:

• The main function of a battery in a computer is to provide power supply to the computer.

• The battery that is available to provide power to the computer is in the form of UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply). The UPS power is measured in watts which is the energy unit for measuring them. Also it is measured in volt-amps.

• UPS does the work very easily it helps in moving current back and forth easily 60 times a second.

• The power provided by the UPS may not be used entirely by the monitors, mouse etc. As the AC current which is alternating current varies from time to time.

• There are two main types of UPS: UPS online and UPS line interactive.

• These devices are constantly powered by the UPS battery and there is another type of UPS which is a standby UPS which powers the device when the AC voltage is low.
