a region of space having a gravitational field so intense that no matter or radiation can escape.

It is a place or a area in the universe with extremely great force of attraction or gravity. These are huge black areas in the space which are capable of engulfing even light! They are considered as the darkest place on earth. Their formation still remains a mystery but some scientists mark its initial formation from the stars.
