It is a popular garden variety of apple, and is also described as 'cooking apple'. It is orange or yellow, with stripes of dull red sometimes. It is also called 'Demster's Pippin', after the person who planted the original kernel. It is named so because of it's color, and because it was found in Blenheim, England, in around 1740.
