Bullet train works on the principle of magnetic levitation :-

  • Levitation means raise to hover in the air.
  • Same thing happens in case of a bullet train.
  • A bullet have strong magnetic conductors underneath it.
  • The magnetic suspension keeps the train stable by balancing it's weight.
  • When the train crosses the coils,a current is generated and this current levitates the train roughly about 1 inch above the track and centre itself.
