Capacitor : A capacitor is an arrangement for storing a very large amount of charge . I.e., C = Q/V , where Vis potential difference between charges -Q and +Q are given two plates and C is capacitance

Capacitance :- capacitance is proportionality constant and it depends on the geometrical factors .i.e., size , shape , separation of plates and on the material that occupies the space between plates . It is independent of q or ∆V.
general formula for finding capacitance is C = ε₀A/d , where ε₀ is permittivity of vaccum , A is base area of plate and d is the speration between plates.

you should kkw that capacitor is based on the principle when the capacitance of a conductor get increased greatly, when an earth connected conductor is placed near it.
