If I were u, I would have up smoking ,If I were a plant , I Would love the rain .. In 2 type of sentence the conditional sentences you can also use the modals in the main clause without the use of " would " to express the degree of certinity permission or a recommendation about the outcome .

hope this will help u

Explanation:

clause is a part of sentence which has a subject and a predicate it can join two more clauses

example-

Seema is writing a diary so here is one clause

Seema

The teacher asked question and peoples answer

so here is two clause teacher and peoples

types of clauses

there are two clause main clause and subordinate clause

main clause also known independent clause and subordinate clause means dependent clause

main independent clause Express a complete thought

like he run fast

here it is a complete meaning so it is independent clause it can stand alone

now dependent clause

when we arrived in class it is dependent of class

there is no full complete meaning

..I hope you understand this much
