A clone is an exact copy of an organism which posseses similar traits as its parent organism. Clones are produced during Asexual reproduction and posseses remarkable similarity because of DNA replication of only one parent is done. Since organisms are produced from a single parent, their resemblance to their parents is more than it is in Sexual Reproduction.

Answer:
A true copy of anything is called a clone. In case of asexual reproduction, genes are contributed by a single parent. Due to this, offsprings produced by asexual reproduction are clones of their parent.
