There are two types of numbers 
1.PRIME NUMBERS AND
2.COMPOSITE NUMBERS
Numbers which do not have factors other than 1 and itself are called COMPOSITE NUMBERS.
Example : 8 is a composite number because it has 1,2,4 and 8 as its factor                  and 7 is a prime number because it has only 1 and itself as its                      factor
