A spherical mirror, whose reflecting surface is curves inwaeds, that is , faces towards the centre of the sphere, is called a concave mirror.

Concave mirror it curves inward. Characteristics of image depend on its position relative to mirror. Image can be a virtual or a real image, which appears to be on same side of mirror as object. Image cab be larger or smaller than object. Image can be right-side up or upside down. Concave mirrors focus light rays. Used in flashlights and in vehicle headlights to focus the light.
