Cyclones and Hurricane are same phenomenon but they are called by different names in different countries. They are continuously rotating and organized system of clouds along with thunderstorms that originate over tropical or subtropical waters.

The term 'hurricane' is used in Atlantic and Northeast Pacific and 'cyclones' occur in the South Pacific and Indian Ocean.
