Deltas. When a river reaches a lake or the sea the water slows down and loses the power to carry sediment . The sediment is dropped at the mouth of the river. ... It builds up in layers forming a delta.

Delta is a traigular landform which looks like the Greek word "Delta" (∆).This landforms are generally formed in the river mouths.

The delta landforms are formed due to the river deposition works in the river mouths where the river flow becomes almost stagnant and the water currents become unable to transport the deposition substances.

These landforms are very fertile for harvesting works, that's why these landforms are geographically importamt.
