Gas: Gas is a single state/phase, i.e all the particles form a gaseous form at room temperate, and satisfies all the property of gases are called gas.
So what is vapour ?
Vapour is a mixture of various state, i.e liquid state and gaseous state co-exists.
Like when we say water vapour we are actually referring to the mixture form of water in liquid as well as gaseous.
Their property lies between that of liquid and vapour.
This possible only at certain temperature range, like for example at 0°C water exist as both solid ice,and as well as liquid water.
At 100° Celsius water exist as liquid as well as gases. This thermodynamic state is called vapour.
