Magnetism is the property of a magnet. Magnetisation is the process of growing that property in a material.

A magnet shows attraction or repulsion to magnetic materials because of its magnetism. Magnetisation occurs when a magnetic material is kept on a strong magnetic field for a long time.

Magnetisation is a process while magnetism is a property.
