The cells which have 2n numbers of chromosomes are called diploid cells.

They have diploid set of chromosomes.

For human,

Haploid cells = 23 chromosomes.

Diploid cells= 46 chromosomes.

Answer: cells which have two sets of chromosome ,one maternal and one paternal . For example humans have 46 chromosomes in their single cell hence diploid and their gametes have 23 chromosomes in every cell hence haploid .
