If u r given two sets, then disjoint set means there is no common element in both sets.
eg:- A={1,3,5} and B={2,4,6} are disjoint sets, since no element is common in both..
Hope I did my best!

if there is no common element in both the sets then it is called as a disjoint set

for ex:- A{1,2,3} B ={4,5,6} in the above sets there is no common element then it is called as disjoint set
