Fruit is not derived from the ovary but derived from some part of the flower or tissue is called as false fruit. There are so many examples of false fruit.such as Apple, strawberry or pineapple ...etc...

The fruit which is not developed from the ovary but from some of the adjacent tissues exterior to the carpel

For example-strawbeery ,pineapple,common fig,Mulberry
