What is a food chain can you please describe it briefly as i hav to use information in my unit test

Food chain is a series of organisms each dependent on the next as a source of food. The food chain starts from producer organism (such as grass or tree) and ending at Apex predator species (like grizzly bears ),deritivores(like earthworms) or decomposer species (like bacteria, fungi).A food chain also shows how organisms are related with each other by food they eat.
