Lymph is a fluid connective tissue. They fight against diseases because they have WBC and traps microbes. They maintain body volume. It carries digested absorbed fats from intestine. It supplies mature lymphocytes to the blood. It plays an important role in returning plasma proteins to the blood stream. Lymph helps in removing the waste product. It drains excess fluid from extracellular space and back into the blood. These are the few functions of lymph in our body.
