A FUSE WIRE IS A SAFETY DEVICE USED IN HOMES TO PREVENT FIRE DAMAGE.

WHENEVER THERE IS HEAVY CURRENT IN A CIRCUIT, FUSE WIRE ( WHICH IS CONNECTED TO THE MAIN WIRE HAS VERY LAW MELTNG POINT ) MELTS, AND BREAKS THE CIRCUIT AND HENCE PREVENT OUR APPLIANCES FROM FIRE CAUSED BY HEAVY CURRENT.
