it is  that paradox which allows for the entropy of closed systems to get decrease or become less, and it voilates the second law of thermodynamics.

ROYALJATT: sorry i forgot to write in answer so i write in answer that how it arises
ROYALJATT: Gibbs himself considered the following problem that arises if the ideal gas entropy is not extensive. hope help u

Gibbs Paradox:

Gibbs Paradox is the violation to Thermodynamics second law.  It explains the paradox to the thermodynamic law explained through an experiment. This experiment duration is in the year of 1874 – 1875.

The experiment resulted to the observation that the closed system entropy can be allowed to decrease, unlike thermodynamics second law which says that in closed system the entropy will indefinitely be increased throughout the system until it is enclosed.
