SOLUTION :

A solution is said to be hypotonic solution, if the medium has a lower concentration of water than the cell, which means that it is very concentrated solution. The cell will lose water by osmosis. Again, water crosses the cell membrane in both the direction but here more water leaves the cell then enters it, therefore his will think shrink. This type of solution is known as Hypertonic Solution.
