Given :   √2, √4, 3, 0

To Find Irrational number

Solution:

Real numbers can be categorized in 2 types

Rational numbers which can be written in the form

p/q  where p and q are integers and q ≠ 0

Rest all real numbers are Irrational number

√2  can not be written in p/q form  where p and q are integers

Hence its an irrational number

√4 = 2 = 2/1  Hence rational number

3 = 3/1   Hence rational number

0 = 0/q   where  q ≠ 0 and q is integer

for example 0 = 0/1  = 0/2

Hence 0 is also a rational number

so √2 is irrational number
